I am a proud Momma of two wonderful girls. When our first was born, I refused help as I wanted to do it all on my own. Little did I know that I would suffer from postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, serious sleep deprivation (shift working hubby), be drowning in a sea of itty-bitty laundry and forgetting to feed myself. In a very short amount of time I realized that I needed help from our families. The only problem was that our families lived 2hrs away and were still working full time.

Up until a few years ago I had never even heard of a postpartum doula. I had no idea that someone could come to support me during those first few days/weeks or months as a new momma. When I discovered the course through DONA International, I jumped in with both feet and have never looked back. Getting to support new mommas in the early days with their newborns is very rewarding. It is truly an honor to get to walk alongside you and your family during this incredible life changing adventure.
